Celebrated Dutch fortepianist Ronald Brautigam makes his eagerly awaited debut with Ian Page's award-winning orchestra The Mozartists, performing two of Mozart's delightful early piano concertos.
The programme also includes Mozart's popular Serenata notturna, scored for the unusual combination of strings and timpani, and the joyfully effervescent Divertimento in D major, K.251, allegedly composed as a 25th birthday present for Mozart's sister.
Ronald Brautigam is one of very few pianists to perform at the highest level on both modern and period instruments. A student of the legendary Rudolf Serkin, he has recorded all of Mozart's concertos and sonatas, as well as those by Haydn and Beethoven.
