Jazz vocalist and composer Sarah L. King brings a world-class quartet to Cadogan Hall to share a special show of her favourite vocal jazz standards and some soulful original songs from her highly acclaimed, newly released album, The Light Ahead.
Sarah mixes influences of soul, singer-songwriter and R'n'B in her original songs with her sophisticated lyrics and clear-toned vocals. But she's also no stranger to the swingin' vocal standards and has a natural ability to communicate and imbue emotion in everything she sings, with her gift for phrasing and ear for harmonies.
