The Young Musicians Symphony Orchestra continues its season at Cadogan Hall with conductor James Blair for an evening of music by Rossini, Rachmaninov, and Sibelius.
The concert begins with Rossini's The Thieving Magpie Overture, a sparkling work renowned for its infectious energy.
Pianist Zvjezdan Vojvodić joins the Orchestra for Rachmaninov's Third Piano Concerto. One of the most formidable works in the piano repertoire, the Concerto combines breathtaking virtuosity with moments of great emotional intensity.
The evening concludes with Sibelius' Fifth Symphony, where the composer creates a compelling journey that builds towards one of the most memorable conclusions in the symphonic repertoire.
