An empty stage. A figure in a suit arrives and starts talking. Voices begin to fill the void from places that are hard to locate. Built upon several years of research understanding the relationship between body and voice; with a taste for the absurd and the strange, dancer and choreographer Stina Fors creates a compelling solo performance in which she allows multiple identities to be seen and heard through an act of distorted ventriloquism.
A performance about what a body can hold, and what it cannot contain, in A Mouthful of Tongues, Stina uses the voice as a unique choreographic tool to explore what we do, and do not, give a voice to. Showcasing humour and collapse in equal measure, not understanding becomes a part of the experience, rather than a problem to be solved.
