Emmeline Downie is a comedian, writer and actor performing across the UK comedy circuit. She co-created and starred in Edinburgh hits, Manhunt and Manhunt 2: Big Mood, earning critical acclaim; "brilliantly performed, beautifully written" - ThreeWeeks, 4 Stars
In 2025, Emmeline appeared in Brainsluts at Pleasance Dome, recognised by The Guardian for a "stand-out performance".
Her writing credits include an Untitled BBC Studios Comedy Writers' Room and additional material for Ania Magliano's Forgive Me, Father and Leo Reich's Literally Who Cares?!!! (A24).
Emmeline brings her provincial, playful, and unpredictable style to the stage in a character comedy show about one of Britain's 'most' loved and 'least well-known' personalities, Gail Summerfield.
