What makes Medea, Medea?

Daughter. Lover. Foreigner. Immigrant. Skilled worker. Mother. Traitor to her home country. Sinful revenger. Multi-outcast exile. Killer of kin. Murderer of her own children.

Who decides what she is — and what she becomes?

In this radical adaptation, Euripides' Medea is reimagined through the lived experience of the immigrant woman's body — a body that must constantly reshape itself to be loved, to be useful, to belong. As she claims, coaxes, seduces, persuades, and pleads, she sculpts herself anew, again and again, negotiating the exhausting demands placed upon her.

This is not a story of adaptation, but of construction — of exasperating negotiation, endless attempts to belong, and the act of survival.
Medea is not born. She is made.
