The Jazz Physicians are a trio of musicians – Aidan Glover, Andy Gangadeen & Nick Cohen – better known for their work as performers and producers in pop and electronica. This is no ordinary jazz trio – nor are they trying to be! With a mix of originals as well as classic and contemporary covers from Neal Hefti to Tania Maria, Burt Bacharach and Bob James, the project is a vehicle for musical expression outside their normal surroundings. Pianist Aidan, who composes the Jazz Physicians' original material, runs his own studio in Greenwich writing and producing for artists such as Rhys Lewis, Hajaj and Ella Henderson. Andy has played drums for an astonishing list of artists including Jeff Beck, Massive Attack and Labrinth, is the Music Director for Rudimental and worked with Chase and Status for 16 years. Bassist Nick has toured and recorded with Ernest Ranglin, Jack Bruce and Matt Bianco among others, and is a founder member of the Ronnie Scott's Blues Explosion. To paraphase a well-known quote, "It's jazz, but not as we know it"!
