Guitarist Rob Luft is both a Peter Whittingham and Kenny Wheeler Prize recipient whose debut album, 'Riser' received widespread critical acclaim and was the springboard for a string of award nominations – "Breakthrough Act" 2018 Jazz FM Awards, "Instrumentalist of the Year" 2018 Parliamentary Jazz Awards and "Instrumentalist of the Year" 2019 Jazz FM Awards. Then, in 2019, Rob was selected as a BBC New Generation Jazz Artist and has since gone from strength to strength, with numerous acclaimed albums and awards along the way! Most recently honoured with the "Jazz Instrumentalist of the Year" Award at the 2025 Parliamentaries, for this show Rob will be joined by his Quintet with Joe Wright-tenor saxophone; Sam Watts-piano; Will Sach-bass and James Maddren-drums. A world-class player with a seemingly effortless combination of skill, sophistication and charm.
