New York-born Pat Bianchi is one of the premier organists on the international scene. The winner of Downbeat Magazine's 2016 rising star poll, Hot House 2019 poll and nominee of the 2024 Jazz Journalists Association' "Keyboardist of the Year", he's toured alongside Steely Dan and performed with jazz icons including Lou Donaldson and Pat Martino among many others (indeed, Pat memorably performed here at the 606 with Martino in 2013). Known for fearlessly taking the jazz organ into new and exciting directions and blending tradition with forward-thinking creativity, Pat was inspired by mentors Dr. Lonnie Smith and Joey DeFrancesco (leading to a Grammy nomination for his playing on DeFrancesco's album, "Never Can Say Goodbye" and a friendship lasting over 20 years). As leader, Pat has recorded nine albums, with over 35 credits as a featured sideman. And as well as maintaining a busy touring schedule, Pat also hosts the weekly Sirius XM Radio show "Organized" while serving as an Associate Professor of Jazz Organ at world-renowned Berklee College of Music.

For this 606 date, Pat will be appearing with his European Trio, featuring Italians Daniele Cordisco-guitar (Roy Hargrove, Esperanza Spalding, Nigel Price) and Giovanni Campanella-drums (Gary Smulyan, Max Ionata), performing new music recorded literally days before this concert! While never losing sight of the groove, expect original compositions along with familiar jazz standards that Pat says will be "dismantled and reassembled with intellectual rigor and emotional clarity". An exciting opportunity to hear musicianship of this calibre in the intimate setting of the 606. "Bianchi has established his own voice as an organist, something not easily done and gives ample evidence why many regard him as the next big thing on the venerable Hammond B3" All About Jazz; "...the organist is on thrilling form" The Times; ""Bianchi's deep knowledge of jazz organ history continues to inform his own voice. While he is a proponent of the classic jazz organ trio sound, he's not confined by it." Downbeat Magazine; "Pat Bianchi is carrying the torch for organ jazz in a magnificent way" Making A Scene; "Cordisco, following in the footsteps of Wes Montgomery, George Benson and Peter Bernstein adds the finest…sounds" Jazzhalo
