Saturday Matinee performance Meet Johnny in his final year at an all-boys boarding school. A member of the 7ths rugby team, compulsory attendee of school chapel, and a Homo in every sense of the word. Enter Harry, the 1st team rugby captain. To save your time and trepidation... Johnny and Harry shag... all the time. Along the way, Johnny ambles through daily life. Through awkward PSHE lessons, Grindr rendezvous and hookups in the English block loos. Despite the tropes, this story is a reminder that amidst gay narratives there is a heart that beats and breaks like the rest. This play questions what does it mean to break the mould and who gets hurt in the process. Choir Boys Productions is a theatre company based in London and Manchester. Two years into their creative collaboration, they have staged three knock-out, original productions. They aim to stage bold and provocative work, providing a safe and engaging space for the young and old, queer and non-queer, for a laugh, a cry, or anything in-between.
