Lian Band & Mohsen Sharifian Live in London. Mohsen Sharifian is a renowned musician and composer from southern Iran, born in Bushehr in 1976. Sharifian began his artistic journey in theater in 1983 and transitioned into music in 1993 when he founded the Lian Band, a group that has since become one of Iran’s most popular and prestigious folklore music ensembles. Over the past two decades, he has dedicated himself to preserving and innovating the musical traditions of the Bushehr region, collecting songs and dance tunes, writing several books, and composing original pieces inspired by these traditions.
